CBB General Information

The CBB Library consortium, comprised of Colby, Bates and Bowdoin College libraries, has a rich history of cooperation across a broad spectrum of library services and endeavors. For over 30 years, CBB has been collaborating successfully to combine library resources and services for the direct benefit of our students and faculty. This website provides information on these collaborative efforts for our college communities as well as others who might find our work of interest and creates a discussion forum for staff at the three libraries.

Cooperative Collection Development

In 2006, with generous support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the CBB libraries began to craft a joint library collection development program designed to expand the collections of materials available to the CBB academic communities, to respond to new curricular and research needs, and to facilitate the sharing of budgetary and space resources.
