Cooperative Collection Development
From 2006 to 2010 CBB libraries, with generous support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, began to craft a joint library collection development program designed to expand the collections of materials available to the CBB academic communities, to respond to new curricular and research needs, and to facilitate the sharing of budgetary and space resources. Grant work has been completed and has laid the groundwork for continued CBB collaborative collection efforts.

Earlier Collaboration Efforts
The CBB colleges have a long history of collaborative enterprises, beginning with reciprocal borrowing in the 70s, establishing online catalogs, automated borrowing with MaineCat and NExpress, as well as coordinated or joint purchasing of electronic collections.
